Last fall I mentioned that Vicki, of Field Trips in Fiber had sent THREE tie-dyed shirts for my new grandson.

Recently I received a photo of DGS wearing one of his new shirts and sitting with his dad in their kitchen.

You can certainly tell DGS got his gorgeous blue eyes from his father!

Music has always been one of my big loves, about even with my love of textile-related things!

So I was thrilled to see this invitation on Birgitte’s blog as a thank you to her readers!

All you wonderful people are inspiring and enrich my life on a daily basis. I thank you. And so does DH. We would like to extend an open invitation to all of you faithful readers:

If you are visiting or live in Chicago, we will get you tickets to our musical Million Dollar Quartet free of charge. We are also planning to open our musical Baby It’s You in a big theater here in Los Angeles in the spring, and when that happens, the same will apply.

Wow! Is that great or what? Here’s the link to more info on the show.

Thanks to Birgitte and her dh, Floyd, we are now planning to take Amtrak to Chicago in mid-February to see this show. I only wish we could see it sooner as I love to encourage other folks to see/hear/try the stuff that I like! On the other hand, how could anyone not like this show? The music of Johnny Cash, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins all wrapped up in one package! Even my dh, who often claims he doesn’t recognize any musicians or types of music, is looking forward to this trip!

So, quick, click over to Bubblegum 4 Breakfast, scroll down to the end of that baby blue boucle coat post and there you will find your invitation!

A hearty midwest thank you to Birgitte and her family!
